So It's a New Year meaning New year resolutions:

Study my ass off this whole year, NO MORE FUCKIN' AROUND!

Life is full of challenges. I am saying this because I am challenging myself to be the best damn student I can be in college. Yeah all those 4 years fucking around in college was a waste, well i take that back not really a waste. I just couldn't find out what I really wanted to do in life. So here I am in my 5th year in Pasadena College FINALLY  knowing what I really want to do. From taking computer classes all of my 4 years, I drastically changed my major to Nursing. I'm still in shock that I am doing this and I will be in shock if I get in the program. I finally changed my mind when I started doing the CNA class ( for those who don't know what that is its Nursing Assistant). I have met the most compassionate, caring, and loving people in my class. Some are already in the LVN and RN program fpr this fall and I am glad to have met them and still continue to keep in touch with them. Even though they are really busy, I still call to check up if they are alright. Not only did I meet these wonderful people but the people that needed patient care. Taking care of patients is not an easy job but giving them attention, love, and care makes me a better person and also makes the patients feel better that I am giving the care.  When I first step into that facility where I had clinical I was scared as hell. But it never stopped me to at least try it. The first day was hard but then learning your patients and attending to there needs everytime I was there, I got attached to them. The patients that I had were in there 60's- 90's and some of them are just amazing. These people put a smile on my face whenever I am there, whether if I gave them a bath, fed them, or even just talk with them for awhile, I knew right then and there that I knew where my place was. Looking back when I was a little girl, I remembered giving my grandma a pillow, a cup of water and a blanket when she told me she wasn't feeling good. I automatically did those things for her because it was in my nature to do it. I am a compassionate person towards my family, friends, and people who are around me. After finishing that CNA class, I knew what I really wanted to do and I am happy that I am choosing this path. I couldn't be happier with myself. My prerequisites for the nursing program are hard but I am studying my ass off. Everyone is telling me when all this is over it's going to pay off. I know that for a fact because I see my sisters and my mom who are also nurses and they Love it. They love what they do. Its just hard getting there. Finishing my prereq's, getting into the program and finishing it. Then taking the boards. Can I just say AHHHHH!! But I am taking this one step at a time and so far I am doing just fine. No one said it's going to be easy, it's challenging...

So I would like to end this with a quote by  Plato, in The Republic

"I enjoy talking with very old people. They have gone before us on a road by which we, too, may have to travel, and I think we do well to learn from them what it is like."
